Anthropologie på Kings Road

Efter ett tips här på bloggen så hade jag antecknat Anthropologie på min lista. Så när vi var på Kings Road blev det ett besök, och det här är verkligen en butik som jag blev riktigt glatt överraskad över. Det var flower power, bohemiskt, vintage, industri, härliga färger och mönster, blandade stilbrytningar. Sött, gulligt och tufft allt på en gång. Överhuvudtaget väldigt annorlunda kläder och inredningsprylar. En hemtrevlig och trivsam butik. Jag köpte en av böckerna 'etcetera' på bilden nedan med mig hem. Ska ta en kväll nu under påsken och mysa lite och läsa den. Bilderna är mina egna.

Den stora hästen i bilden till höger, visst var det en sådan med i 'Morden i Midsomer' för ett tag sedan? Eller är det kanske bara jag som ser sådana pensionärsdeckare.

Fantasifullt på Harrods

Harrods har väl alla hört talas om, men det är faktiskt ett otroligt varuhus som man inte får missa om man är i London. Här finns allt från en delikatessavdelning utan like till en lite utflippad avdelning för husdjuren. Det blir nästan lite för mycket av allt men samtidigt är det på sitt sätt också väldigt kul att se. Kul att se är också Laudrée, den söta lilla butiken med läckra pastries och macaroons. Marylebone High Street

En väldigt trevlig och mysig gata med både bra inredningsbutiker, klädesbutiker, delikatesshörnor och trevliga fik är Marylebone High Street. Det är en tvärgata till den välkända butiksgatan Oxford Street, mitt i London, men heter i början James Street. Följer man James street som är en liten gata fullsmockad med trevliga restauranger så kommer man sen till Mandeville Place där bl a vårt hotell The Mandeville ligger, och fortsätter man ytterligare så kommer man efter några hundra meter till Marylebone High Street. Mitt i centrum, men ändå med ett skönt lugn. Här hittade vi flera mysiga butiker, här är några av dem. Bilderna är mina egna om inget annat anges. The White Company. En butik nästan helt i vitt, men kläder, badrumsdetaljer, bäddlinne, handdukar och t o m lite för köket. Vacker och inspirerande butik.

Brissi, en butik med inredning i fransk stil. De skriver på sin hemsida att det är shabby chic, men det är inte den stil vi är vana vid hemma, det här är mer chict och franskt elegant. Mycket vitt, naturligt linne, antika stolar, silver och glittrande prismor.

Paul Smith, har en liten butik på den här gatan med massor av roliga prylar. Här finns skor, väskor, manschettknappar, hattar, böcker och festliga accessoarer. Hittade en bok här som hette 'Gentlemen of Bakongo' och som var en härlig färgglad bok om hur männen i Bakongo lever och klär sig. Väldigt typisk för Paul Smith och hans sätt att få inspiration från resor och andra kulturer. Köpte den tyvärr inte. Bilderna kommer från Paul Smiths hemsida samt ebay.

Fired Earth har en stor butik med både möbler, kök och inredning. I källaren finns även deras kända kakelplattor.

The Conran Shop, är ett givet kort när man är i London och på Marylebone High Street ligger en av deras butiker. Här märktes den senaste trenden med vintage, industri, färger och mönster väldigt mycket.

London - Liberty

Några dagar i London med trevligt ressällskap, shopping, god mat och våren som börjat spira är en riktig energikick. För att inte tala om all härlig inspiration man får på en sådan här resa. Tack, alla som gett mig massor av spännande och kul tips, ställen som vi antagligen helt missat annars!! Försökte hinna med så många av dem som möjligt. Nu har jag massor av bilder att visa, både på bra shoppingställen, trendiga detaljer, kul butiksinredning och festliga skyltfönster. Nu blir det en London vecka här på Purple Area!

Första stället vi besökte var Liberty på Regent Street. Huset är fantstiskt vackert, sortimentet kul och väldigt annorlunda. Man känner vinddragen från dess storhetstid på 60- och 70-talet och den småblommiga perioden. Det var mycket vintage men i nytappning, trädetaljer, industriprylar, underbara mönstrade tyger och härliga dekorationer som nästan blev som små teaterscener. Kul att notera att även Svenskt Tenn numera hittat till Liberty. Bilderna är mina egna.

Homestaging a la Sofie

Igår fick jag följa med Sofie från bloggen 'Room by Sofie' på ett av hennes homestaging uppdrag. Det var en 30-tals villa på Bellevue i Malmö. Huset var helt tomt från början och Sofie har byggt upp alla möbler och detaljer inför husets visning. Det var väldigt kul att se hur det går till och jag fick en hel del tips om hur det går till att homestaga. Så här fint blev det. Bilderna är mina egna.
